I purchased this as a gift for my child’s school friend’s birthday. She’s 5 years old and really seemed happy to receive this. It’s a great price for a jewelry box that you don’t have to worry about breaking. I took off 1 star for the size – it’s rather small and won’t fit much.

It’s a very beautiful box. I bought this for my three-year-old after she was given some toy jewelry. It sits on her bedside table, and she puts her jewelry in it every night before bed. The music is absolutely lovely, and the best part is she can wind it herself.

While not a fancy box, or of impeccable workmanship, this is still a very excellent choice as a present for a little six year old kid who likes dance. Opening the box is a delightful surprise, and you can fill things in it as well. Our gift recipient likes to dance to the tune it makes. If I could improve this product, I’d suggest that they would make plainer ones for gender neutral (Ie. A simple gray box with silver clasp), with the ballerina/ballerino dancing to not just one, but two stanzas of the Swan Lake.

This jewelry box is beautiful. It reminds me of my childhood. It’s fairly small, but large enough to fit a few bracelets, rings, necklaces, and other little treasures. I bought it for my friend’s 6-year-old daughter so it’s a good size for her.The little ballerina twirls round and round as the music plays. There’s a crank in the back so you can keep playing the music. The volume is good. Not too loud or soft. It also stops once the lid is closed. The box itself is made of a very durable cardboard material, but it appears well-made and of good quality. There’s also a fancy oval mirror and the inside is lined with a velvet/felt type material.

Exactly what I Wanted for my 12 months old baby girl! She loves music boxes and I wanted her to have one that will be OK if it was ruined. She still touches and plays with it very gentle but it was a ‘just in case’ thing. She opens the lid and is happy to see the ballerina twirling and dancing. Only negative comment about this music box is on the right top lid is faded (see picture) but that is not an issue for me as this is meant to be a starter music box for her. Love it!
